of work saved by that single act. An email sent to just 4 people creates 5 emails
if you include the one in the sender's Sent Items folder. If each user replies only
once during the life of that thread, that's a total of 25 emails that have to be
filed by members of your team.

As the person starting the thread, you are best qualified to decide whether an email is worth filing and where it should be filed. So when you take a moment to file it in Threadline on the way out, you’re telling Threadline to file not only that email, but all the replies that can trace their lineage back to that email. And Threadline knows it’s filing them all in the right place because YOU told Threadline where to put them.

When the time comes to clean up your inbox, you can safely delete any email already
marked with a Threadline tilde (~) because, by definition, it's already been filed.
You're left to file only non-Threadline email, and wondering why the senders weren't
smart enough to auto-file these emails too.

Even with today's sophisticated search engines, finding an email can be difficult
and time consuming because you need to find and reconstruct all emails in a conversation
to fully understand what took place. Threaded email allows you to search on entire
conversations instead of individual emails, making it easier to find what you're
